My wife and I were on our open back porch discussing some of today's mail, when my wife paused and said she was hearing a 'baby' songbird calling. I didn't hear anything (out-of-my-hearing-range); but started to watch the backyard for the immature bird calling.
After a few minutes, Mom and Pop Chippers flew in to rescue the crying fledgling.
