After hiking the length of the boardwalk (west end to east end), we hiked back to the truck and drove back to the Visitor's Center - found a shaded area and did a tailgate picnic lunch.
We decided Magee Marsh was too busy with birders so we drove the short drive on route 2 to the Ottawa NWR.
