Even if it was just room service, I didn't miss celebrating the day in my own way.

After a hard day of work on the road, this was the best I could do... Alone and too tired to do more, I still managed to have some sort of Mexican food.

The potted begonia on the desk/table had followed me throughout my trip. Wanting some feeling of "home" while moving from place to place, I had bought this begonia at a local grocery store on my first night of the trip. This was my last night before returning home. When the gentleman delivering my room service dinner instantly fell in love with the plant, I promised to leave it for him at the desk in the morning. I couldn't take it home with me on the plane. I had too much carryon camera equipment. Because I've never seen another potted begonia that I've like as much, I hated to leave this one behind. Nevertheless, I was able to enjoy it for 2 weeks myself before passing it on to someone else who would appreciate its beauty as much as I did.

Although a rather mundane event, my ordering room service that night was meant to be. It brought "my" plant together with someone who would truly take care of it. From talking with him for quite a while, I knew he definitely was a plant lover. He appreciated the unique beauty of this begonia as much as I did. Hopefully, it grew well for him.
