Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord was built in 1573 on the foothills of San Salvador sanctuary.
During the reconstruction of Sanctuary (1825-1832) the Way of Cross (via crucis) was built.
It connects the church of Transfiguration with the sanctuary, which ends pilgrimages.
It consists of 180 steps up the hill and is bordered by cypress trees.
