During the reconstruction of Sanctuary (1825-1832) the Way of Cross (via crucis) was built.
It connects the parish church of Transfiguration with the sanctuary in the fortress, which ends pilgrimages.
It consists of 180 steps up the hill and is bordered by cypress trees.
