The Sint-Martinuskerk is the main church or deanal city church of Weert. The church is used for Roman Catholic worship and is dedicated to Saint Martin.
The Sint-Martinuskerk in Weert is, just like the Grote or Michaëlskerk in Zwolle, a so-called hall church. They are the only two extant examples
of this type of building in the late Gothic style in the Netherlands. The building belongs to the Top 100 of the National Monuments Preservation Service,
in particular because of the exceptional quality of the detailed and colorful vault paintings; one of the largest contiguous late Gothic vault paintings in the Netherlands.
