This might well be the last capture of this beautiful bird.
Two days after this shot was taken I returned to the spot and found the nest empty.
For weeks there had been two chicks to observe, then on the day this photo was taken
I found there was only one. I doubt they were able to fly at this stage.
They could have fallen out of the nest or been taken by a bird of prey.
So sad not to see them develop further.
