18 The Sentinel & Babies Guarding My Front Door

.
I am a little disgusted with myself on this image...it is different than the original, obviously, and I have always preached that if you own it or have access to it...you can always shoot it again. True enough but my semi-macro of parts of this Cactus growing under my cypress trees...lots of cobwebs, some kind of reflection off of dead plant detritus under the cactus reflecting and apparently up into the lens itself...made this rule following difficult if not impossible. it did not help that there was very little access to under my cypress trees to shoot the image I wanted. There is nothing wrong with the lens, dirt or otherwise...

Jim did a yeoman's job analyzing the other image and I thank him for this. The lack is mine...

Best Wishes, Traveller

Yes, I put it over in Pending...but maybe I am a wide angle guy, I still prefer this though I could try again. I certainly will when it flowers. Traveller

I like this one. Could you try a tighter crop?

Your cypress tree has a strong, very very strong resemblance to a brick stoop and color stained or painted concrete walkway and leaves me without words except I despise those Cyprus knee knobs, what a pain they are. Paul

Jim was just very curious, that's all.
On this fine image I see no smudge or sensor spots - great news for you.
BTW, I have come to love how the bigger cactus can grow these small offshoots.
