We stopped off at Lava Beds National Monument. There are lots of lava tubes which you can explore. We chose some that didn't require crawling, being no fools. Unlike limestone caverns like Luray, the interiors of the lava tubes really don't have much diversity. If you ever visit Lava Beds, I would suggest having a walk through Mushpot Cave and a walk into Valentine Cave. Todays photo is the obligatory portrait of the travelers at the sign.
