Black & White Warbler (Female)

Lake Frederick, Virginia

On this beautiful late Springtime day, hiked the primitive trail from behind our home to Crooked Run and back along the west arm of Lake Frederick.
Looks like she's collecting nesting materials.

Nice to see warbler returning. She's not wasting any time getting her nest built.

Reminds me of our Speckled Warbler, hopping around on the ground, though I guess that might not be the normal habit of your species and in spite of the name they are not at all closely related.
