Amaryllis

My Back Yard, Sugar Land Texas

We had some freezing weather over Christmas, and it killed many of my tropicals. My Amaryllis came back, but only the white ones bloomed.
The red and orange didn't bloom. They look healthy, so I expect they'll bloom late, or maybe wait until next Spring.

Wonderful closeup. The freeze did damage but also gave new life to some plants.

I'm still getting my head around seeing the words "freezing" and "Texas" on the same page. At least if the others bloom late it'll give you two photo ops for the price of one.

I like the closeup detail on the petals. Lovely streaks of red. V

This is such a beauty; love your shot of it. You must have them growing outside! Here they are strictly house plants in winter. V

Well at least you have these gorgeous ones!
