Iceland has some fabulous waterfalls.
This is Gullfoss.
You approach it from the top and can stand right next it.
There is a railing but not a very big one.
I have some other photos of this waterfall at the beginning of the gallery.
My husband Charlie took this fine shot with our old little Panasonic.

Spectacular... odd that they make the fence taller along the walkway than it is at the edge by the falls. Guess they count on the fear factor to help keep people safe
