A nice study of the fungi. A few suggestions to improve the image. When using flash, you create hard edged shadows. To avoid this,
add a diffuser (e.g. a tissue) to the flash, and/or a reflector below the subject to bounce light up under the fungi. Also,
in your post-production, look at using a curves layer (or the highlight and/or dehaze sliders) to darken the stark bright areas
