Throughout the old quarter of the city of Córdoba you can see columns, capitals, statues, stone walls... almost everything is from Roman times, original. Córdoba (Corduba) was the capital of Hispania, the land conquered by the Romans from the Iberians and Carthaginians, the birthplace of the Emperors Hadrian and Trajan, so the entire city, including its outskirts, is littered with archaeological remains, between one and two meters underground.
