The Franconian inn was first mentioned in a document in 1516 and has been in existence for 4 generations owned by the Heinlein family. The old brewery estate was built between 1650 and 1700,
and received the right to distillery and permission to serve food.
(The old beer cellar and the brewery date back to this time.)
