Passeig Marítim (Main Seaside promenade)
It is the wide promenade that stretches from Plaça Murada, in front of the old town, until it connects with the district of Sant Antoni de Calonge. A railing, interrupted by steps leading to the sand and semi-circular viewpoints, separates the beach from the buildings located on the first line of the seafront. A double row of bananas makes up the central stretch, unpaved. It was designed and built by the Palamós engineer Zoilo Costart in 1904 but its current appearance is the result of a new project by the same engineer made ten years later. It has subsequently been expanded and modified numerous times, especially in the sixties and nineties of the last century.
