La Mar Menuda Beach
The Mar Menuda beach is located to the left of the town of Tossa de Mar From it there is a nice view of the beautiful old town, bordered by a well preserved 13th century fortification wall.It is 170 metres long with an average width of around twenty-five metres. It has all types of services, including a scuba diving centre on the beach itself and sunshade, pedalo, dinghy boat and kayak rental service. It also has access ramps and amphibious chairs for the disabled.On the far left hand side of the beach there is a narrow entry into the sea called Sa Banyera de ses Dones. This area is protected against big waves and is rather shallow, so it is ideal for children.From the beach depart crystal-floored boats that allow visitors to see the seabed. It is usually visited by several diving centres.Opposite the point of Sa Llonga there is a rather large rocky island with the simple name of LŽIlla, and can be accessed by swimming ot it. During the summer, many recreational boats usually navigate around the area.
