under the shade of a coolibah tree

my intrepid road-trip transport on the bank of Cooper Creek - see previous photo

Australia's unofficial national anthem has a line about a swagman (tramp) who camped "under the shade of a coolibah tree".
The tree in the photo is Gum-barked Coolabah (Eucalyptus coolabah), a tree of black-soil floodplains in inland Australia. (PS The gum bark is on the smaller branches.)

A nice spot to hide from the sun. A Subaru 4-wheel drive?

Cool that you got to rest in the shade of a coolibah tree.

what a sprawling tree it is, trunks every which way...smart choice of transport too, compact and likely economical..

a nice place to park your car.
