Dirty Dog

ZZ Top - 1983

I can’t tell you how much we missed our boy Tug this Christmas.
Last year at this time we had no idea anything was wrong with him.
Two weeks after Christmas he collapsed and was gone in three weeks.
So many people have asked us if we are going to get another dog.
I truly miss taking photos of the dogs playing but I just feel it would be hard on Della to bring a new dog in at her age.
Puppies and young dogs take so much work and I’m not getting any younger either.
So when I am really missing my boy I go back through my photos to remind myself
how much fun we had together.
We had a quiet but lovely Christmas here.
My oldest son, his wife and their three kids came for brunch and gift opening.
Hoping all of you had a Merry and Bright Christmas Day.

Melvin died so suddenly 12 days before Christmas back in 2018. I do know how you miss Tug. The personality of him is well shown here in this fun picture! Happy holidays anyway! V

Tug always put a smile on my face. It's good we preserve our friendshsips with photos.

Can't help but smile seeing this. Tug lived life to the fullest and I agree with Helen - his personality is really present here!

What a marvelous image of Tug -- I think it embodies his personality perfectly. I understand your feelings about adopting another dog, although we don't have a Della in our household, but puppies take a lot of time and energy, and I'm not sure I have either the time or the energy. Perhaps an older dog would be something to consider, plus they have a harder time finding new forever homes, I hear. V.

A wonderful artistic image as we each share missing our special friends. For both of us this is the first Christmas since their passing. Tug and Caya will always be loved in a way words can not describe. You are a true artist as this image shows perfectly.
