West Pier

Brighton, East Sussex

The West Pier is a ruined pier in Brighton, England. It was opened in 1866. and was the first pier to be Grade I listed in England and Wales but has become increasingly derelict since its closure to the public in 1975. As of 2022 only a partial metal framework remains. [Wikipedia].

it is a haunting sight in this state, and must prompt memories for many people...cool comp to show it isolated in space, and lost in time..

Wonderful desolate mood!

Nicely captured with excellent clarity. Even in near ruin and decay, I still sense strength due to the grid work of framing with stands out nicely against the soft and pale surroundings. VV
