Belted Kingfisher

Lake Frederick, Virginia

Only this male spotted on this hike along the west arm of Lake Frederick. Seem I'm seeing more of the resident kingfishers and Great Blue Heron later in Fall every year (global warming).

Even at that distance it is clearly a handsome kingfisher.
