For sure, I will remember this one ...
Arriving at 17:00 in Rishikesh, I asked a monk, a most reliable source :), if he knew shelter for the night ? (The local Ashrams in Rishikesh do not allow not-Indians.)
And on a paper he wrote the way to go, a few km by ritshaw up to Ram Jhula for 4 Rps which turned out to be 30 Rps with all the luggage, we were dropped to cross the bridge by foot ...
Gosh, what a long bridge, certainly with all the ballast, everything passes here that’s not too big for the 2 meters width concrete slabs paved gangway : motorbikes, cows and all the people encouraged by the monkeys playing around on the supporting bridge-cables.
Finally we arrived in the Swarg Ashram and we were lucky to bump in to the manager to provide us a room. Unpacked, I urged back to the bridge, it was already dark at 18:47 ... so here I left quite some sweat to cross it.
