Waskahigan Watchi

Johnson Lake, Alberta

on view all around Banff is Mt Rundle...that is a colonial name, after a missionary who was in the west for a few years during the mid 19th century....it's real name for thousands of years, designated by Cree (Nehiyawak) people, is Waskahigan Watchi, which translates as House Mountain

Waskahigan Watchi, so much more attractive sounding than Rundle (even if it just means house).
