Slave Cabins at Boone Hall

Charleston, South Carolina

Eight original slave cabins are one of the most unique features of this plantation. The cabins have artifacts and audio exhibits that help depict what daily life was like for the slaves on the plantation.
“Exploring The Gullah Culture” is a unique presentation at the Slave Cabins. Boone Hall is the only plantation in the Charleston area to present a live presentation of this unique culture adapted by African slaves.
When we were there, an audience member fainted and so we missed most of this presentation.

These seem well built and maintained. Hope they informed the visitors of the horrors of slavery. "V"

They look pretty well taken care of. Fainted from hearing about our shameful history or from the heat or health concern, either way must have been trying for all there.

how honest of them to draw attention to this sordid side of the plantations...your shot shows that there must have been many people abducted from Africa brought here to serve in that harsh system..

That is quite interesting, they appear to be well built and in good repair.
