Baentey Kdei Temple

(best seen in original size)

The forest reclaimed the land during 500 years of abandonment.
There was also an issue of Mines laid out during
the military rule and infighting during the 1970's. Much of them
have been cleared out now in the Angkor group of temples.
Banteay Kdei was built in the late
12th and early 13th centuries under the reign of Jayavarman VII.
The temple was created in a very similar architectural style as Bayon,
Ta Prohm and Preah Khan. However, it is small in size compared to other Angkor temple.
