Heligoland's beach is actually a separate small island some 750 metres across the strait- besides the beach there is also a small camp site, some huts for rent and the island's small airfield

Looks like people are mindful of the importance of the dune grasses and stay on the trails. Beautifully composed beach scene taken from behind a sea grass covered dune. BV
