The cat

For the November 2022 challenge: Song, Poem, Haiku, Quotation...

Another haiku by the great Japanese haiku poet, Issa (1763-1827). This one, unlike many haiku of the period appears to be a straightforward comment on a sleeping cat. Translation by Fumiko and Akira Yamamoto and Stephen Addiss.
