I asked my sister if we could go see this covered bridge, the only remaining covered bridge in South Carolina.
To my horror, when we arrived there, a large blue and white crane was sitting in front of the bridge and orange mesh was all around the area saying it was closed due to construction, so we could not get close to it.
It was built in 1909 of pine and spans the Beaverdam Creek in a small park with hiking trails.
I did my best to eliminate the crane. Some of the orange mesh remains.
Always expect the unexpected when traveling!
