Today is the first time this hibiscus has bloomed for me. Flashy!!! With brilliant warm tones.
The weather here is still in the middle 70's. So many of my hibiscus - like this one - are outside on the deck. The landscape and native trees are either Summer green or dull brown. So, flowers like-this are my October, "Fall color".

'Spice Island' blooms both double and single with 6-8" flowers in shades of gold, bronze, and orange, with a soft pink eye. The bush is medium-sized, upright, and well branched. 'Spice Island's' parents are 'Rosalind' and 'Orville Davis.' Released from HVH in 2009.

My plant is displaying its own unique variation in colors & petals. It will be interesting to see what it does in the future.
