03 Sun Tea

Quail Creek, AZ

I drink a fair amount of ice tea mixed with lemonade, so I have taken to making my own tea. I'll brew it out in our warm sun for 4-6 hours. It is a mixture of dark tea and some orange and spice tea.

Paul - the bright area in the upper left is patterned after a lens flare - at least this is what I learned last week in one of the online Lightroom classes.

The taste of the cold brew bags is about the same. But I also add the orange spice tea which adds a special flavor.

Nice image. It looks like you use special cold brew tea bags for it. Do they taste very different from regular Lipton's? I first discovered the ice tea/lemonade mix at a local cafe, where they call it "teamonade". It was only later that I learnt about Arnold Palmer supposedly inventing the drink, or maybe popularizing it. It's a very refreshing mix.

Paul - we have always known it as sun tea.

When I mix it with lemonade, they call it an Arnie Palmer.

Now that’s interesting and a practical entry. They have a special name for this drink but it escapes me at the moment. I’ll wake at 3:00 in the morning (Travellers dinner hour) and it will hit me but for now nada. I think it would be better without the artificial sun but what do I know. Still a great entry.
