Morant's Curve

Banff NP, Alberta

almost all of Nicholas Morant's 50 year career was spent photographing the people and rolling stock of Canadian Pacific Railway, as advertising for the rail service and luxury hotels the company had on offer...one of his favourite locations for catching trains passing through the Rockies has been named in his honour...Morant was also published in National Geographic, and one of his images from this famous S-curve appeared on the Canadian $10 bill during the 1950s

Morant would be proud of your capture of the magnificent mountains and rail activity. I hope you didn't have to wait too long for that train! (though waiting in that environment would be a pleasure!)
