I decided I did not want 2 tarps to dry out, in my small condo, and the only slight question is can the large tarp cover a picnic table, and the entrance to my tent AND a chair next to the table, which would require moving my tent too. It may be that putting my tent next to the table will be rare? It might work if I bring a table?

The larger tarp can cover more OR can be pitched higher maybe both, if there is space. It does take more space to pack.
I dont think I need any more high poles, as I think the main two should be higher than the rest.

While there is no pocket on the back Ridgeline for a kayak paddle, the two sides are closer in and two kayak paddles there might work instead? Would need a third one for the front, and putting it up might be harder, getting to paddles to stay up while you move to the front to put that pole up, but maybe their is another way, like putting the other end up first? Anyway I dont do that anymore, the only use for me is if I have a paddle I can use it in place of a pole here or there, etc.

I do have ski poles that are fairly high not sure they can take the stress that these can?
