There is no escaping the heat for us or our dogs... And to think that we're near the end of September.

Twenty-four hours after we signed a contract yesterday to purchase a new heating/cooling system, the company abruptly then changed their installation promise from doing the job this week to not being able to "get to our home" until late October. With totally non-working Central A/C (plus a passive Solar Room that starts to retain heat in September) and a close-to-unbearable, record heat wave, this really SUCKS!!! It's soooo unbelievable hot: both indoors and out!!! I'm suffering even more than Chile (above) who normally actually likes the heat. However, this has all been even too much for her.
