Empty Monarch chrysalis

Larose Forest

For the September Accents challenge.

The monarch has exited its chrysalis and is hopefully winging south. A few days previous I saw another monarch chrysalis looking freshly made. I also saw a few monarch larvae, so all stages are around now, but September is the month to see them migrating.
