The picturesque beach of Port d´Alguer, also known as Portdoguer has become world famous thanks to the painting with the same name that Salvador Dalí made in 1923, where one can see the beauty of the cove and its surroundings.The beach is located in the town center of Cadaqués , to the right of the Gran beach and around fifty metres away from the lovely church of Santa Maria. It is about sixty-five metres long and consists of a mixture of stones and dark colored coarse sand. In it we usually find fishing boats stranded in the sand.
