Colorful
BUT
These critters have left all kinds of holes in my flowers.
Yikes!!!

However, to look on the brighter side of things, scarab beetles supposedly have some "positive" meanings: https://www.angelicalbalance.com/spirituality/spiritual-meanings-scarab-beetle/
As much I hate these destructive bugs on my flowers, I just pick them off and don't kill them. That's because scarab beetles are considered one of 5 lucky insects: https://pestdefense.com/bug-superstitions-insects-known-to-bring-good-luck/ Of course, my foolish method of pest control means that the same beetle probably flies right back and chomps away on a different plant. I grow everything organically. By the end of August, some of my flowers look like Swiss cheese partly
because of these bugs.
