But it was a horseshoe nail.
A simple, yet very specific short piece of metal that sheared off last week,
which drives the blades.

It is no longer made, and cannot be had for love or money.
(well, maybe for money, but...)

This 28-year-old horse still runs, but it is no longer capable of cutting grass.
Which would be fine if it wasn't a mower.
