Orangewing - Mellilla xanthometata 2022

No Bigger than ½ Inch

This colorful moth caught my attention when he landed on the outside of one of our patio doors.
The outdoors vs indoors daytime lighting produced the above image.

Carl Carbone helped with the species ID. I had no idea until he guided me. Thanks, Carl!

The Leps app says it's The Orangewing - Mellilla xanthometata. Whoever named it did well! Nice find.
