Corymbia intermedia, seed capsules
The shape and size of seed capsules helps distinguish many eucalypt species. See the next photo for very different capsules.
The shape of these identifies them as belonging to a bloodwood. The speckling on the surface further reduces the field - in north-east Queensland to just two species. The location and other characters clinch it as Pink Bloodwood.
"pink" refers to the colour of the wood.
