boats are stored on land at the Kitsilano Yacht Club...a hoist is used to launch or extract the craft, and then they are moved along the pier to a storage area...seems a bit of fuss, yet diehard sailors won't mind that at all

I have never seen that set up before, but if it works, why not. It seems like these bulk carrier ships are everywhere on the combined US/Canadian west coast. Great capture of the scene in the dusk glow. ~BV~
