‘Your dog is the baby!’

Sahraa was drinking water from the bucket at the coffee shop when I saw a woman with what I just assumed was a baby stroller and a dog at a table next to us. She got up to leave, and I said I didn’t know how she could manage all that, and she said you get used to it. Then I looked again, and much to my surprise the dog was in the stroller. I said, “Oh my, your dog is the baby!” and we laughed about it. She said her dog was missing a leg and gets tired out on walks, so she wheels him home. I asked to take a picture, so here it is.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

What a special lady to do this for her obviously much loved, handicapped pet. He's a pretty big boy, too. So, pushing that stroller around must take some effort.

How interesting (and nice) that shop owners don't mind customers with pets. Except for Petsmart and Petco, dogs of any size (even in a carrier) are banned most everywhere here: even outdoors. That fact took me some getting used to when we first moved from the East Coast (much more pet friendly) to here.

Funny to see this. Last Sunday, I attended a birthday celebration and there was a stroller at the table I was sitting at and it was a dog in the stroller! Dogs are like people out here. Fortunately, most restaurants allow them at outside dining.

Three-legged dogs are near to top of the cool scale for me, and so nice that she is accommodating him to help him enjoy his walks.

That person has not yet realised that a dog has four legs to walk, I see it more and more here too, beautifully illustrated BV

I was wondering why a Pit would be in a pet stroller but your text answered that question. How nice the owner lets him walk and then gives him a ride home. V

Now that's a caring owner and a lucky pooch.

Nice fun shot well explained. The dog looks a bit mean though, but then I guess if I was in its condition/position I wouldn't be smiling either. LOL
