This friend of ours had to cut short a European vacation, because his wife tested positive for Covid, and she wanted him to come back immediately so he wouldn't get it from her, or at least would have access to his own doctor if he did. She stayed in Italy, and had a mild case. He came back to Boulder, and had a worse case (but not too terrible), but was able to access that special drug that cuts down the duration and severity. He's all on his own (except for the cats), but we're able to socialize outdoors (he had tested negative a couple of times by the time he came over). It seems that this damn pandemic is never ending. Some of us are immunocompromised, and can't afford to pretend that it's all over.
