Admittedly, I was able to shoot this from my own back deck.
Before COVID lockdowns, I never even realized we could see them from here.
We always went to a public display and sat out with others to watch Fourth of July fireworks.
There are pros and cons to both ways of viewing.
In 2022, those sponsoring this Fourth of July show announced in their advertising, "There are many locations throughout town to watch the fireworks display. South of the Parking lot or anywhere on Main Street in downtown are the front row seats!!! You don't have to even get out of your car." So, this scene can legitimately be considered a roadside attraction/distraction. Many people undoubtedly did watch the show from inside their cars parked roadside.
When I was a kid, my father also preferred doing the same. He didn't want to get trapped inside a parking lot with everyone trying to leave at once afterwards. So, we stopped where he knew roadside parking would provide the best view. There always was a very long line of cars parked on the road's shoulder along with us.
