Orange daylily (Hemerocallis fulva)

Larose Forest

Driving down a forest concession road I noticed a large swathe of orange ahead: a mass of daylilies. These are non-native and very invasive plants. The area where thy these are growing, along the verge, is mowed each year and thus far they haven't spread too much in the last 20+ years. They are certainly pretty!

Probably spread from an old homestead. Very pretty though. V

They really are pretty, even if ubiquitous. Great capture of this one. V.
