Traverse

A buck (left, antlers just starting to show) and doe.
The pasture is a haven for nesting Bobolinks - you can just see one perched on the fence post.
Bobolinks nest on the ground and the farmer refrains from haying here until the nesting is complete.

I like the full view of the pasture and the location of the deer. It seems to be a sanctuary for both deer and Bobolink. The farmer is a good man. "V"

Very cool that the farmer is considerate of the bobolinks. Lovely to see the deer out in the open.

Love the environment you included. We had a young buck about 30' from the house today.

cool how the deer and the bird form a loose triangle of interest amid all that multi-hued grass...there's a comforting feeling to the image..

Fine capture of this tranquil country scene. The two deer are just charming.

An idyllic summer scene with the deer and the bobolink. The farmer is to be commended for not mowing until after nesting season. Can't tell you how infrequently that happens here which means the bobolink populations have declined perilously. V
