Caution

Brazos Bend State Park, Texas

Probably the last time to walk at the park until autumn comes. It's 100 degrees from now till September.
The alligators love the warmth and get quite active, so a good idea to have some signs on the trail.

So peaceful, yet so dangerous! This is Summer at its limit with the heat! V

Yikes, 100 degrees of heat, alligators, swamps...think I'll stay at home LOL!!

For some reason, I never thought about alligators in Texas before you posted photos. Although the scene is quite beautiful, I don't think I'd be brave enough to stroll this path that doesn't leave question the potential risk. I sure wouldn't take either a dog or a child here!!!

Is it enough to stay on the trail? Alligators can run quite fast. V.

I hope people pay attention to the sign. It is very pretty despite the treacherous inhabitants. V

An unusual warning sign, must keep alert!

Just to add spice to your daily walk! I think the 100 degree heat would be more of a deterrent to me than alligators! V

I think I'd rather just find somewhere else to walk regardless of the season. Like... Wisconsin, maybe.

That sounds like a very wise decision on your part !

Yikes! Just to be safe I don't think I'd bring a dog along with me. V.

Love the waterlilies in this spot. Cool sign too. We have similar ones warning against rattlesnakes and coyotes. "V"

an idyllic scene, yet tempered with the frisson of danger so ominously pointed out..
