200 million light years from earth, the galaxy cluster Abell 3574
contains among its galaxy members a colliding pair of galaxies,
the larger NGC 5291 and the smaller "seashell galaxy." The
interaction of these two galaxies has scattered a long stream
of debris, which seems to be clumping together to form
dwarf galaxies.
