Purple Moonbeam feeding signs

on underside of Sandpaper Fig (Ficus opposita) leaf
I see the feeding signs, caterpillars (previous photo) and chrysales of this species, but rarely the adults

The feeding pattern looks much the same as our slug moth larvae, though there are also some sawflies who feed in a similar way, here. V

Interesting that they only eat the bottom of the leaf.
