Our first full day in the Los Angeles area. Our activity was a full day tour of the area which included Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills (Rodeo Drive), Original Farmer's Market, Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was a long day but it gave us a chance to get the lay of the land. One thing Ginny has been bugging me about is getting a photo of the iconic Hollywood sign. Although I don't give a rat's patoot about Hollywood and the low life stars that are out there, I know a DFO (direct ******* order) when I hear one. We got lucky because there is a decent view of the sign from the Griffith Observatory. It is a long way to the sign so in order to get a picture of us with the sign large enough to be seen in the photo you have to get back quite far from the people in the picture (which would be us). We asked a fellow traveler to take some iPhone photos which worked out. Now, the jury is out on whether they will satisfy "you know who." Check out today's photo and see what you think.
