7th - Lancaster

IWM Duxford, Cambs. view map

Finn and I spent the day at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford - loads of fab planes from all eras, highlights were this Canadian-built Lancaster, a B-52 Stratofortress and SR-71 Blackbird...

I may put up a mini gallery at the weekend

I was thinking the same thing as Don. Nice capture.

It would be a high adrenaline ride to be sitting up front in that bubble. Interesting photo.

Quite a selection just in this one image. Like the perspective and look of the Lancaster.

a power packed frame...the Lancaster looks a mighty warbird...perhaps Canadian built, but I think Avro was British-owned..
